Detoxifying is an important part of overall wellness. Cleansing your body helps maintain better digestive and immune health, boosts energy, promotes healthy hair and skin, and jump-starts your weight loss goals.
There are various cleansing and detoxifying supplements on the market, but you can also drink to your health with tasty smoothie recipes or eat a detoxifying meal.
Traditional detox smoothies consist of fruits and/or vegetables with ice and some form of liquid. You can also add fiber (hemp, flax, or chia seeds) or protein (Greek yogurt, nut butter, or hemp protein powder). Some people even add a fat source like coconut oil or avocado.
